Information Technology (IT) – a science directly related to computer technology. It is engaged in the study of technologies of management and data processing, both with the use of a personal computer, and without the use of computer technology. Nowadays it is very difficult to imagine the world without Information Technologies, computers and other automated systems.
Today, more often the concept of Information Technology is perceived as “Computer Technology”. As a rule, Information Technology is directly associated with a computer and software to transmit, store, process, edit and protect information.
According to the definition adopted by UNESCO, Information Technology (IT) is a complex of interrelated, scientific, technological, engineering disciplines that study methods of effective organization of work of people engaged in processing and storage of information, computer technology and methods of organization and interaction with people and production equipment, their practical applications, as well as related social, economic and cultural problems.
